Here is what you'll need:)
1. A Wooden Laser cut Frame: I got mine at Micheal's. They are around 4-5 dollars and are lightweight, so can be easily hung up with adhesives.
2. Construction Paper: this will serve as your background for the art. Make sure you use a size that will fit the full back of your frame. I used a 12" by 18" sheet to fit my frame and chose black as my background color.
3. Plain white computer paper: this will be used for the letters on your art
4. Acrylic Paint: You will want all of the colors of the rainbow:)
5. Spray Paint: You will use this to spray paint the frame; add some color
Steps to your masterpiece!
1) Spray paint your wood frame. You will want to spray one side and then let dry before spraying the other.
2) Cut out your letters. For this step, take a sheet of white paper, write out SOMEWHERE in bubble letters, and then cut out the letters.
3) Take your cut out letters and glue them across the top of background sheet of paper.
4) Lay out your paints and and get ready to paint your rainbow! I drew it on in pencil first and then painted the arcs across the paper.
5) Let your art dry.
6) Next, after your frame and rainbow are done drying, align your painting to the back of the frame and tape it right on!
**I decided to paint clouds on my frame, but you can paint whatever you feel suits your art the best:)
And...Voila! You have created a beautiful piece of art that you can easily adhere to your dorm wall! These frames are great because you don't need a nail to hang them up. Perfect for your University home away from home!
Anyway guys, it is another stormy night here in the sunshine state! Time to make some tea and watch some Netflix!
